Google telah menambah fungsi menukar background image pada Google Search seperti website Bing.com kepunyaan Microsoft. Selepas ini, anda boleh customize google search kepada background yang anda suka, tiada lagi kosong dan putih minimal seperti dulu.
Untuk menukar background, hanya perlu tekan change background image pada bottom left, dan pilih dari koleksi yang ada atau upload sendiri gambar. Resolution minimum ialah 800×600 dan pastikan size gambar itu kecil baru cepat load.
Malangnya fungsi ini hanya terhad kepada page depan google search sahaja, dan tidak termasuk dalam google search engine results pages (serp).
Jika anda berminat untuk customize lagi antaramuka Google search, anda boleh tulis sendiri script menggunakan Platypus, Greasemonkey dan Stylish.

only some people can use this function. Google is making it available to everyone in future. Just check back your Google homepage later if you didn’t find the link to change your background. This is from Google blog:
“We are beginning to roll out this new feature to users in the U.S. over the next few days, so if you don’t see a link in the lower left-hand corner of Google.com now, check back soon. For those of you outside of the U.S., you can expect to see this new feature in the coming days as we roll it out internationally to offer similar, consistent experiences globally.”
